About the Colt Officer's Model: Introduced in 1904 as Colt's premium medium-frame target revolver, the Officer's Model was built for serious sport shooting rather than everyday duty use. This Second Issue variant (1908–1926) incorporated Colt's improved lockwork introduced on the Army Special, and was offered in .32-20 W.C.F. among other period calibers. With total production across the model's full run estimated at only around 15,000 units, it remains a genuinely scarce piece of early 20th-century Colt history.
