The Ruger New Vaquero 2005 XR3 was introduced in 2005. This model has a backstrap different than the previous two versions. This will be refered to as Ruger Vaquero New Model 2005. A good way to identify this model is that it has a safety lock. The Firearm Says New Vaquero.
The 2006 Blackhawk Has a Different Size Frame Than the Early & New Model Blackhawks.
