Description:
A well made attractive English 8 1/2 " percussion traveling pistol. The octagon barrel is 4 1/2" long, with front and rear sights and a captive ramrod. The action  is strong . Between 10 to 30% of the blue finish remains. There is engraving on the lock, hammer, trigger guard, butt and butt cap compartment, on the barrel tang and at the tip of the ramrod. There is a belt hook on the left side. The walnut grip is finely checkered and contains a blank escutcheon plate. .  The wood is in excellent condition. The hammer, lock, trigger guard and butt cap are all in excellent condition. The hammer spring is stiff but it works.  Approx. .50 caliber. Proof mark on lower left side of the barrel. Rates NRA Antique- Very Good to Fine.
