Description:
A high quality flintlock officers pistol believed to have been made by William Dury of Liverpool, England, circa 1820-1840. It displays a high level of workmanship  as to the metal and woodwork. The "Dury" name appears on the lock ( a little hard to see). It has a heavy 7 & 1/2 " octogon barrel , .62 caliber (20 bore) with an overall length of 12 & 1/2 ".All of the metal appears to have been finished in a deep brown and about 90 to 95% remains. There is a full walnut stock  with fine checkering in the grip area. The metal is in excellent condition .. The wood is also in excellent condition .. The ramrod looks original and has a metal end and a  so called "worm" at the other end  to aid in its intended use. The action is very strong and it holds on half and full cock. There are two proof marks on the left side of the barrel opposite the hammer believed to be English marks used in the Royal Armory. The trigger guard, lock, barrel tang  and hammer are engraved.

The overall condition of this pistol would be " Antique Excellent". A fine addition to a  collector of quality . No FFL required
