Description:
A spectacular western folk art painting by Harry G. Bentz, an accomplished artist of Philipsburg, Montana that was painted in 1969. Born Jan 25, 1921...deceased Jan 14, 2003. This is a fine oil on board painting of a cowboy roping a Bull Elk. Harry and his friends roped many Bull Elk in the 1940's and 50's and he painted the beautiful things he witnessed in the great outdoors of the west. The painting measures 24 inches wide by 17 inches tall. Harry Bentz spared no paint on this work and the depth and dimension pop off the board. Harry was a great fan of Frederic Remington and Charles Russell and painted in a similiar style. The colors are bright and vivid and this fantastic painting is signed and dated by Harry. This painting has never been framed and remains in excellent unaltered condition. A spectacular piece of American Western Folk Art.
