Description:
A rare uncut sheet of 12 label tags consisting of SS RZM Visor Cap tags "SS Dienstmutze" and "SS Feldmutze" translates to SS Service Cap and SS Field Cap....which would date from 1934 or 1935. The sheet measures 10 7/8 inches tall and 7 13/16 inches wide. This is a laminate type of paper over a linen backing as all early 1933-1935 tags were made. Many german WW2 accoutrements that had SS RZM tags hand sewn on the item were of this same material. These tags were hand sewn into the visor caps above the sweatband. The translation for the text on the label is "Unauthorized possession of NSDAP Party officials articles of clothing as per regulation of the National Presidency of March 21, 1933 is punishable with up to 2 years imprisonment". Light brown in color on the backside, you can see the linen fibers plainly. I think the real value of this is being an uncut sheet of 12 tags. This would look great framed and placed among an advanced SS Visor Cap collection. A very rare piece for the German SS Headgear collector.
