JAMES PURDEY & SONS ... 20 gauge ... 26" barrels ... 2 3/4" chambers ... choked right 1/8 and left 1/4 ... Right barrel bore .615, choke .603, constriction .012 ... Left barrel bore .615, choke .601, constriction .014 ... LOP 14 9/16" ... drop comb 1 1/2" ... drop heel 2 1/4" ... cast off 1/4 ... weight 5 lbs 13 oz ... double triggers completed in 1988.
Receiver, trigger guard and forend latching hardware are covered in extremely fine rose and scroll pattern engraving with a color case hardened finish. Both sidelocks and the bottom are engraved "J. Purdey & Sons". The very finest English walnut was used for the forend and the straight grip stock. The dark wood tones are accented by even darker swirls throughout. The gold inlaid oval in the stock is initialed "FAB Jr". Deep bordered, fine line checkering on the grip, forend and butt complete this beautifully done peice. This gun comes complete with an unusual burgandy colored, leather Purdey case with a full set of accessories.
