CHAMPLIN FIREARMS BOLT ACTION RIFLE ... 300 Weatherby caliber ... 23 1/2" barrel ... 45" overall ... weight 9 lbs 6 oz with scope ... LOP 13 7/8" over 3/4" ventilated recoil pad ... hinged floor plate ... trigger set for 4 lb 0 oz pull ... sling swivel studs. Manufactured in Enid, Oklahoma.
This gun has a flawless, mint condition, classic stock of medium dark California walnut with high accent grain pattern. There are white line borders at the recoil pad, at the rounded rosewood forearm tip and at the rosewood cap on the flared pistol grip. Beautifully cut skip-line checkering covers the front and rear grip surfaces. The high polish bolt handle has two checkered pannels. The blue finish retains 99% of its original color and shows no scratches. The floor plate is monogramed "JSS" in stylized script.
This item comes complete with a Redfield 3x-9x Rangefinder scope that is mounted in Conetrol rings & bases. This is arguably the best scope that Redfield ever made. It has two lines to center the animal, top of back to chest, and it then gives the yardage for the shot. The optics are bright and clear.
This gun has only been used to shoot three animals and it is exceptionally well maintained. Today's replacement cost would be approximately $9500.
