Master engraver Terry Wallace did exceptional work on the bottom metal with deeply cut acanthus leaf scroll and banknote filigree engraving surrounding a scene of a cape buffalo amid the African bush. The scroll engraving continues to the blue steel, trap-door grip cap. This is fine art work by anyone's definition.
The stock is highest quality, exhibition grade California walnut with unique feathercrotch grain. The classic shape features a rounded shadow-line cheekpiece and a rounded ebony forend tip. The pistol grip and forearm have a generous amount of fine, multipoint checkering that wraps the whole grip surface.
This firearm rides in a custom fitted, Ray Steck oak and leather case with a royal blue canvas & leather travel cover. Accessories by J. Lozito include a horn handled cleaning rod, nitre-blued oil & grease bottles, a top grain leather sling with quick detach swivels and a Joe Kious folding knife. The knife has stag scales and spiral file work along the spine. It is engraved with Classic Arms and is serial numbered to the rifle.
This is a really beautiful firearm in a dangerous game caliber. Classic Arms of California built the finest guns in the United States. David Miller builds a comparable quality now. Call with any questions and see our other listings for ... "Only the best!"
