Colt – Bisley. Flat Top Target. Type – Rev. Cal. 44. Russian or 44 Colt
Special. 6” BBL. with factory letter. Case Hardened Trigger & Hammer. Removable Front sight. Rear sight dovetailed into position. Checkered hard rubber grips. These revolvers had a standard 7 1/2 inch barrel, this one has a 6 inch barrel. Factory letter states 44/c with 7 1/2" barrel but further states manufactured in 1905 and returned to factory in 1912 and furnished with Lyman sights and presumable the six inch barrel, making it very rare as per Flayderman's # 5b-150. . Of the 976 Target Models Made, 64 Were Manufactured in 44 Cal. Blue is 95% with just some slight drag lines on cylinder. Flat tops are rare
and the caliber and length of barrel make this a very rare gun in excellent
condition. Comes in a custom wood box. Serial Number: 268263.
