Description:
Winchester.  Model 1876. 45-60 WCF caliber. 28 inch octagon barrel.  Deluxe   
special order with factory letter. Rifle has blue barrel with full length magazine    
and color case harden forearm cap, receiver, hammer and crescent buttplate. 
The forearm and pistol grip stock are highly figured fancy grain walnut style H 
checkering.  The pistol grip has an ebony inlay. The receiver has special order    
set trigger and the butt plate has a sliding brass trap door. Barrel and magazine  
have a smooth grey patina with traces of blue in the protected areas. The   
receiver has a mottled silver grey patina with traces of case color on the side 
panels. Most of the case colors are present on the hammer and the sides of the  
lever. The butt plate has a smooth grey brown patina.  The fancy grain walnut 
stock and forearm are fine.. The forearm checkering has significant handling
wear but the checkering on the pistol grip remains sharp. The forearm is dark 
from handling but most of the figuring remains visible on the stock. This is a 
solid example of a scarce Deluxe 1876 rifle. Manufactured 1885. Serial number
45793. Included is an original iron single cavity 45-60 bullet mold with wooden    
handles and an original  Winchester 45-60 reloading tool.
