A fine and beautiful Mexican Saltillo Blanket with a center Chimayo design circa 1930's. This beautiful churro wool blanket meausres 87 inches long by 51 inches wide not including the fringe. The condition remains excellent with only one small spot on one end where some of the fringe...3 or 4 tassels are missing or worn away and only about a 1 inch by 1 inch section into the actual blanket. No moth damage and all the colors remain vividly bright with no bleeding...no staining and the blanket is very clean having been taken care of and stored properly. This blanket is super soft and the patterns are excellent with arrow designs, alternating stripes and a center Chimayo geometric design...simply stunning on the grey background. I bought this blanket directly from the family who purchased it originally on a vacation to the Southwest US in 1946....it was originally purchased in New Mexico. A beautiful and useful textile with a fantastic pattern for the collector, high end decorator and connoisseur of fine blankets. USPS Priority mail is 30.00
