This really happened and was painted from memory by Harry...he was one of the cowboys who participated in this roping in the 1950's on Black Pine Mountain Range in Philipsburg Montana. The painting is framed and remains in excellent condition...signed and dated by Harry Bentz. The story was that the grizzly had been killing some cattle on several of the local ranches and they tracked the grizzly down and roped him in.
