This is a Fine Example of the .41 Caliber "Swamp Angel" The name "SWAMP ANGEL" was derived from a powerful Civil War Cannon manufactured in 1863. After the Civil War, Forehand and Wardsworth manufactured these well made and accurate Spur Trigger Revolvers in .38 and .41 caliber... Overall Condition grades to NRA Antique Excellent with 85% Original Nickel Plating on the Barrel, Frame, and Cylinder. Nice barrel markings... The cylinder pin is replaced. Nice tight action. Birdshead Style Grips have a few nicks and small dings near the base, otherwise Fine with Original Varnish. Very Good Screws and Pins throughout. A great addition to any early American Spur Trigger Collection. Antique.
