For those who appreciate the style and handling qualities of those splendid Pre-War Mauser Sporting Rifles, we have a surprise for you. Now you can enjoy the look and feel of those wonderful hunting rifles with your Model 70 Wincheseter, Ruger M-77, CZ 550, Browning bolt rifles, Mauser Mark X, Charles Daly Mauser, Parker Hale Mauser, Remington 700, Huskvarna, or any quality bolt action rifle.
WHAT WE DO
We start with your rifle stock and re-sculpt the stock into the sleek, slender and graceful form of those Pre-War rifles of both Germanic and English Sporting Rifles. The comb is lowered and thinned for easier viewing of iron sights, while the forearm is shortened and thinned with a faux Ebony or Schnable finish to the tip.
Receiver panels can also be sculpted to produce that early Mauser look or they can be omitted and a faux ebony tip added to produce the English Rigby-style look. We then re-checker and refinish with an all-weather Vintage Finish. The transformation is stunning to behold and a treat to handle.
OH WHAT A FEELING!
It's hard to imagine that removing just the right amount of wood - in just the right places - can transform even the CZ 550 from a heavy, clunky club into a sleek and slender rifle that seems to float to the shoulder and almost aims itself, but it's true. That is the essence of those Pre-War Mauser, Rigby, and Mannlicher rifles that we love so much and we can provide it for your favorite bolt rifle. Those who own our Trophy Rifles absolutely love the results and say they are a joy to carry afield.
PRICE:$1,450 for Model 70s, Rugers, Remingtons, and Mausers, slightly more for CZs and BRNOs.
The price for our re-sculpting service is only $1,450.00 for most quality bolt action rifles - a fraction of the cost of restocking to attain the same result. It’s slightly higher for CZ 550s due to the extra work needed to reduce the massiveness of the stock into a workable form. Other custom services are also available.
