#4960 Colt S/A 4-3/4”x45COLT, tight action and about a “7” bore
Description:
#4960 Colt S/A 4-3/4”x45COLT, tight action and about a “7” bore on a scale of 10. Manufactured in 1883, having a matching 101XXX serial range. Markings are Fair to Very Good, metal has heavy rag pitting over much of the surface, probably due to long storage wrapped in a damp cloth or wet holster. VG after-market stage grips. Just some cowboys well-used sidearm in the very historical period of both the Lincoln County Cattle War and the Indian Wars, and for the collector who likes guns that show real use, this is such a gun. It’s certainly no “dresser-drawer queen” ….it has seen the elephant! Good-Good+, as described. $1995
