Description:
Extremely rare! Pre-Civil War .31 Caliber Sharps Pistol Rifle made in the mid to late 1850's. This is the Type 2 model and only 600 were produced. Early production with serial number 46 on both the upper tang and inside the patchpox cover.
28" barrel with very good rifled bore. Action works well. Has rifle-pistol grip buttstock. Metal has areas of pitting on left side of receiver, and on the barrel. Markings are partially visible on receiver. Hardware is iron, and the butt plate, cap box, and nose cap are German silver plated. These are seldom seen on the market, and are prized in any condition. 44" overall, Antique, Very Good.
No FFL or C&R license required. As antique ships direct to buyer in a hard plastic guncase.
