Pre War Pre 64 Winchester 70 .30 GOV'T '06
Description:
Here's a great old representative of the finest sporting rifle ever created, the Pre War Winchester Model 70. Nothing fancy, but a good solid rifle that has never been altered and maintains it's undrilled rear receiver bridge. S/N 36*** Mfg. in 1941 with matching number bolt. Caliber is marked .30 GOV"T '06 (30-06). Barrel is 24" with an excellent, shiny bore. All mechanical functions are in great working order. About 85% Blue showing on majority of barreled action, with higher wear areas such as bottom metal, swivels, and bolt knob showing considerably less finish. 85% Varnish with numerous scattered marks and impressions accumulated over it's 78 years, but no notable gouges or cracks and a tight, clean barrel channel.
This rifle would be an excellent candidate for the guy who has always wanted an increasingly rare, all original Pre War 70 for a shooter, or possibly for a restoration project, that is still priced within the reach of most. $55 flat rate expedited/insured shipping from Alaska.
