This is likely the nicest Lightning 22 available for sale. All factory original, great wood and metal finish, mechanically solid inside and out. Deluxe checkering pattern on the fore end helps this stand out as something special. 24" barrel has a very good bore, that we would rate easily at 70% orpossibly higher: has seen corosive ammo, evenly cordite-dark from front to back, with complete, unbroken rifling and free of any pronounced pitting. We test fired 3 rounds. Feed, cycling, firing and extraction works fine. Action interior and breech face are in very nice shape. Overall, this is an un-messed-with, attractive, solid little rifle, ready for a new home. Ser#101xx made in 1889, Antique status, CA OK. Call or email for more info.
