Description:
Here is a very nice old Winchester 1894 in a less than common caliber, .25-35. The bore is very good with modest wear as might be expected after 116 years of use but no pitting, a 7-8 on a 1-10 scale. Made in 1904, the action blue is gone but the barrel and tube retain most all their blue with some freckling. The rear sight is a D W King full buckhorn; the front sight resembles a Rocky Mountain sight but has a unique copper bead. A previous owner chose to personalize his rifle with some subtle outline carvings of game animals in the buttstock. Actually the carvings are quite good though the carving of an African lion on a .25-35 might be a bit optimistic. With the new Leverevolution ammunition, the .25-35 is a decent deer caliber. All in all, a classic rifle from another era that will still do the job today while growing in value. $50 shipping and insurance to your C&R or ffl via priority mail. Layaway available.
