A magnificent heavy duty .577 by Manton for sale. 26” barrels, rebounding hammers, Jones under lever, three leaf rear sight, wonderful wood, 14 3/4” pull, Silver’s pad, refinished to original condition. Comes cased with many original accessories AND a nice history of the original owner from the Military Museum of Scotland. This big boy is regulated for a 590-grain bullet and 6 drams of powder or 165 grains. Accuracy is as good as it can get with 65 grains of IMR 4198 and a 650-grain Woodleigh bullet or a cast bullet of the same weight. 75 grains opened the group a bit but would still be acceptable for buffalo. In fact, I plan to use the 75 grain load on a buffalo (cape or water) if she does not sell. The slightly more accurate load of 65 grains is perfect for smaller game such as black bear or moose. The condition of this Manton is outstanding with nearly all of the blue and case colors as well as a stock nearly free of any dings or blemishes. Bore is right and shiny! A top quality big game rifle from a respected maker. Price: SOLD
