Birmingham, England: A 12 Bore Boxlock Game Gun Made in the Golden Era of 1936, 28" extractor dovetail lump barrels at .731 .014 & .032 (Light Mod. & Full), 2 3/4" chambers, This piece in 1936 was 2 1/2" chambers proved at 1 1/8 ounce, Then in 1993 in Birmingham it was re-proved to 2 3/4" chambers at 850 BAR with the proper re-proof marks, The forcing cones opened by a full time professional, Wall thickness on both the right & left barrels at .034", Matted flat tapered rib, Double triggers, Frontal Anson forend release, Splinter forend, Open Pistol grip stock at 14 3/8 x 1 1/2 x 2 3/8" over a buttplate, Cast-off for the right hand, 6 lbs. 9 oz., 75% coverage of engraving, The barrels reblacked and now at 99%, The gun retains 20% original case colors, The stock nicely refinished and at 97%, The checkering at 98%, The bores are excellent from breech to muzzle and totally free of any pits, The barrels are smack on the face with a lot of bite, The barrels ring with a nice chime. This is a very nice game gun from the Golden Era of the English sporting piece.
