Winchester Model 70 Featherweight XTR 243 Winchester
Description:
This is an older New Haven Connecticut Winchester XTR Featherweight 243. This is a family rifle. It is a tack driver. We have killed alot of whitetail deer with with it. It shoots a variety of ammo well. We found Hornady 100 grain Interlocks to shoot Sub MOA with out much work at all.
Over all the bluing is 85%. There is a small scratch on the left side of barrel near the muzzle. The rest of the barrel is solid 95%. The floor plate and trigger guard are 95%. The bolt handle has devloped a patina. Pretty normal for these rifles. The wood has normal driving mileage, but checkering is sharp. No cracks in the wrist or anywhere else in the stock. This is a solid 90% gun overall.
I am selling it to raise cash to help my son get into an elk rifle. It has served our family well. The safety works great, no trouble cycling, trigger breaks clean.
This rifle will make an excellent first time deer rifle or for anybody looking for a good ole 243 that won't let you down.
Will include 40 rounds of Hornady 100 grain Interlock Hand Loads with Load Data, and one blue box Federal 100 grain soft points.
Asking $599 for Rifle, Ammo, bases/rings to an FFL of your choice. Buyer pays Shipping and Insurance.
