Description:
With a serial # 3771, in .65 cal., with a 9” smoothbore barrel with an excellent bore. The bright metal surfaces of the barrel and lock rate very good to excellent with a few oxidation stains, mostly on the hammer, overtones of brown on the barrel and handling marks. The brass furniture rates excellent showing light tarnish. The smooth one-piece hardwood stock rates excellent. The left side of the barrel has “HAWES / JAPAN 3771” with “TOWER” on the back of the lock and an English crown. The mechanism seems to functions well, and the flint showers copious sparks. It includes a steel ramrod. A very rugged gun made by Miakou and will give many years of service.When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
