SOLD A very good condition Vermont maker T. Russel short barrel buggy rifle with a 24" half round, octagonal barrel and a clean rifled bore with some minor corrosion down in the grooves. the back action works well, and has a brass breech block and rear sight. Left side of barrel near the breech is engreved the name: Wm.OLMSTEAD. An aged , fancy brass trigger guard also. Comes with a hardwood ram-rod and brass tip. Lock-plate engraved and well marked, nose cap and escutcheon wedge appear to be nickle silver? New England walnut stock is very god with age staining near the butt-plate, and butt-plate is crescent type. Haven't seen that many 19th century buggy rifles in my life. Would make an excellent addition to your collection! Shipping may be higher than stated as shippers raise their prices twice year without notice!
