BARRELETTE MINIATURE TRAP/SKEET 22 CAL BARREL INSERTS A PAIR.
Here is a pair of seldom seen and very rare adapters to convert a 20 gauge side by side or over under to shoot 22 caliber shotshells. They were manufactured by THE BARRELETTE CO., 428 BROOKSIDE PL, CANFORD, NJ.
In the 50's Mossberg, I believe, invented a Miniature Trap and/or Skeet Game called "TARGO". They marketed guns and equipment for this new Sport. I guess it didn't really catch on.
This pair of adaptors comes complete with original boxes, in very good condition, directions and an Allen Wrench needed to secure the inserts in the gun's chamber. The inserts are 9 5/8" long and have a built in ejector to work in conjunction with the gun's extractors or ejectors.
I have had these in my Curio Collection for some 25 years.
