Offered for sale is one full box of Clinton .38 S&W Central Fire Cartridges. The Clinton Cartridge Company was started by Sears Roebuck Co in the early 1900's as a means to purchase cartridges and firearms from other manufactures who quit selling to Sears because Sears was under selling their products. This company allowed Sears to sell ammunition. Notice there is no company name on the head stamps, only the caliber. Any ammunition offered by Clinton, in its original box, is considered extremely rare and a collectors find. Notice also the front label states "CENTRAL FIRE" not Center Fire. Central fire was the first designation used for center fire cartridges. The name Central Fire was changed to Center Fire about the turn of the last century. The pictures show the condition of the box and ammo much better than I can describe them. By buying this ammunition, you are certifying you are over 21 years of age and there are no Federal, State or local laws prohibiting your purchase or possession of this ammo. Ammo can only be shipped to the lower 48 states and some States do not allow on-line ammo sales, unless you have a state issued exemption permit and you are responsible to know your local laws. Therefore, ammo will not be sold in the following states: Alaska, California, Chicago IL, Connecticut, Hawaii, Annapolis or Montgomery County Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington DC.
