Description:
Excellent condition Model 61, with factory picture box, and un-messed-with wood and metal finishes. Beautiful gloss blue on the receiver with minimal small handling marks and very little edge wear. Original varnish has scattered nicks and scratches, but no red flags or cracks. 24" barrel has a beautiful, crisp, clean, shiny bore and rifling, and excellent bluing. Action interior and bolt face are similarly nice and clean. Barrel sight slot has a Lyman filler plug, front blade has been replaced with a KING unit with red insert, and there is a flip-up tang sight installed. We do not have the original sight parts on hand, but they should be readily available with a bit of searching. Original pre-war configuration "Picture Box" is included as pictured, with oroiginal matching serial numbered end label. No manual, papers, or cardboard dividers included.
