"U.S. Springfield 1873 1st Model Carbine .45-70 (AL4525)

Description:
"U.S. Springfield 1873 1st Model Carbine .45-70. A very nice 1st Model Trapdoor carbine with beautiful case coloring on the breech block. Bore is good, shows some minor pitting in one area. Barrel finish is a gray patina. Stock is excellent with strong cartouche. Buttplate has a custom trap and brass door built in. That feature is sometimes seen on surplus guns that went to the civilian market. Very nice carbine!
