Here is a gorgeous Waffen Jung .416 Rigby Engraved and Case-Hardened Mauser Double Square Bridge Dangerous Game Rifle Bolt Action Rifle with a New Zeiss Victory HT 1.1 - 4 X 24 Variable Scope. This rifle was built by Theo Jung, one of the best German Rifle-Makers in the world. This maker’s quality and name is in par with that of Hartmann and Weiss. The rifle features a beautifully figured walnut stock with fine checkering and leather butt-pad, right handed cheek-piece, ebony forend tip, case hardened and engraved metal grip-gap, drop belly magazine, beautifully engraved cross-bolts, and inset sling swivel eyelet. The rifle is beautifully case-hardened and ornately engraved with fine scroll engravings throughout the action, magazine floorplate, scope rings, safety, and triggerguard. The bolt knob is checkered and features gold line throughout. The “F” on the safety and caliber information are also written in gold. The barrel features express rear sights with one fixed sight at 50 yards, one folding sight at 100 yards, and a second folding sight at 150 yards. The ramp mounted front sight has an ivory bead folding moon-sight that folds over for low light conditions. The barrel also features a barrel band sling swivel eyelet. The scope mounting system is the quick detachable Recknagel/ ERA/ Henneberger. The trigger is also a buttery smooth Recknagel. This Double Square Bridge Action contains a Winchester style 3-Position safety. The rifle comes with a Brand New Made In Germany Zeiss Victory HT 1.1 - 4 X 24 Illuminated Variable Scope. The barrel length is 24”. The LOP is 14 ¼”. The stock is in 98%+ condition overall with some faint handling marks. The metal components are 99%+. I don’t believe this rifle to have ever been hunted with. It’s quite the gem.
