Colt 1st model Dragoon 44cal percussion revolver made 1849,made from 1848 to 1850 about 7000 made,7 1/2" part round part octagon barrel strong rifling some pitting,all matching serial #'s no # on wedge, looks like there was an inscription on back strap cannot make it out or it is scratches & dings? cannot see any cylinder scene,oval slots, sq trigger guard,nipples are in good shape has safety notches,1 pc walnut grips sound no cracks or breaks,works fine, nice overall condition see pics.this is an antique no FFL required can be sent directly to you if legal in your state must be 21 years of age to buy.this is being sold as a collector's item only not warranted safe to shoot
