Antique “BELGIAN” Marked Double Action Top Break .44-40 WCF Cal. REVOLVER Late 19th Century Belgian Revolver with BONE GRIPS!
Description: Antique “BELGIAN” Marked Double Action Top Break .44-40 WCF Cal. REVOLVER Late 19th Century Belgian Revolver with BONE GRIPS! Here we present a Belgian Double Action Top Break Revolver, manufactured in Belgium circa the late 19th Century, probably bound for Montenegro where these big, Gasser style revolvers were very popular at the time. The Belgian gun makers thrived in the period from the late 19th Century up through World War I. They made, mostly, copies of American made revolvers. For the most part, these guns were fairly well made, and of good materials. This 6-shot double action revolver chambered in .44-40 WCF was a hefty self-defense weapon that was definitely a man stopper. This revolver is full-sized and would have been worn in a holster on the belt by law enforcement or an armed civilian. The overall condition is good. This example has a Belgium proofed cylinder and “BELGIUM” can be read a top the frame. “744” is marked on the lower left frame with the number “8” present on both the cylinder and ejector rod. The action functions, although the cylinder does not index properly. The bore is mostly bright in good shape. Both grips are firm and remain intact with expected handling wear. Here is a truly hearty example to display in the collection! Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 5-3/8 inches. Caliber: .44-40 WCF Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Delivered directly to your door by express mail! Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1135 #201038 SOLD Antique: Yes |
