Description:
Revolver was purchased by Larry Koller in February of 1959 from Colt for his personal use, but has remained in Like New Condition for over 60 years and is now offered for sale. Colt Buntline Scout revolver in 22 LR caliber. 9 1/2" barrel in blued finish with plain walnut grips. All original items that were shipped from Colt are included in this sale. The only flaws that I could find are a few scratches on the frame high behind the back of the cylinder on the left side. This can be seen in the second picture. Original Colt box, with all Colt paperwork including original Warranty Card, Original base pin latch and cleaning brush. A letter of provenance was acquired from Colt in 2009. Larry Koller was an Outdoor writer who lived in Middleton, NY and wrote many outdoor articles, as he was hired by the Middleton Times Herald to write on a regular bases. He also wrote articles for Popular Handguns in 1957, Golden Guide to Guns 1961-1966. He was also a budding gunsmith and did minor work on guns, stocks, and gun related equipment. He also had his own Fly Tying business where his expertise showed his ability to command good prices for his flies that were sold.
