Sam Welch Engraved Interarms Mark X 7mm Rem Mag caliber rifle. Very early custom rifle engraved by renowned Master Engraver Sam Welch. Built on a Mark X Mauser action, the barrel, receiver, scope mounts and trigger guard are engraved in very fine scroll. The floor plate has scroll and a beautiful gold inlaid elephant head with silver tusks. The stock is deluxe figured walnut. Has a custom muzzle brake and a Leupold 3x9 scope. The rifle is not marked or signed by the gunmaker. The receiver is signed “S. Welch Engr / 0475". Sam Welch went on to become one of the country’s premier engravers and was a founding member of the Firearms Engraving Guild of America. He started engraving in the early 1970’s, making this one of his earliest works. The metal is in excellent condition, the stock has a few marks and dents. Overall very good condition
