The Ruger Vaquero XR3-RED Made From 1972 to 2004 is Normally Marked on the Frame With Raised Letters Under the Grips: XR3-RED.
However, This Lettering Can Be Different But Still Use the XR3-RED Grips. They Can Read: XRN-3RED, NXR3-RED or NRM-3RED.
The Ruger Vaquero made from 1972-2004 is referred to as the XR3-RED Model.
This is easily determined as XR3-RED is stamped in the grip frame under the grips.
Simply remove the grips to determine if your Model applies.
The Ruger Firearms Made from 1962-72 May Be the "Three Screw Model" But the Frame Size Was Changed to the XR3-Red.
