This Antique Was Winchesters Answer To A More Powerful Rifle Than The 1873 In A Repeating Firearm. The Second Variation 1876 Features A Sliding Dust Cover, 28" Round Barrel, Cresent Wood Stock With Steel Buttplate And Field Kit Storage, Wood Foregrip, Full Length Magazine Tube, Rear Adjustible Buckhorn Sight And Fixed Front Blade Sight. Brass Trap Door Is Stamped In Italices "45-60". Standard Markings Are Clear. This Rifle Does Show Some Character Dings in The Wood But Otherwise Appears In Great Condition For its Age.
