A stunning and rare campaign banner that was made for the British 16th Lancers Cavalry Regiment circa post World War 1 and probably made in the late 1930's with all their battle honors including WW1 and the King GR VI cypher crest applied in gold bullion thread. This banner measures 48 inches wide and 33 inches tall. Gold bullion thread is applied to heavy high quality wool felt with a beautiful linen backing...4 loops for hanging. No damage and remains in excellent condition with vivid colors. King George VI reigned from 1936 to 1952. This banner was probably made in India during GR VI reign. A rare and historical campaign banner from one of Britains most famous Cavalry regiments during the end of the time that "The Sun Never Set on the British Empire".
