Custom K98 Mauser rifle chambered in 7mm-08 Remington. K98 Mauser action, upgraded with Wisner 2 position side swing safety, Timney fully adjustable trigger, hinged floorplate with release inside trigger guard. Jeweled bolt and follower. Fitted with E. R. Shaw 23” tapered round sightless barrel in Aug 1981, but never stocked until this year. Caliber engraved on barrel. All metal is hand prepped, no buffing, bluing by Bedeaux Gun Shop in Albuquerque, NM. Rings and bases also blued for matching appearance. Classic style figured American Walnut stock with fiddleback running the entire length. Tree was cut in 1967 and air dried since. Double shadow cheekpiece, Gabon Ebony forend tip, 4 panel point pattern checkering. Hand rubbed linseed oil finish, Jerry Fisher steel pistol grip cap. 13 5/8” LOP over a checkered steel Neidner style buttplate, sling eyes on stock. Fitted with new Leupold VX 1 3-9 x 40 scope with matte finish and duplex reticle. Redfield contoured two piece bases and rings. 8 lbs 8 oz. Test fired only, in new condition. With some load tuning this rifle should shoot very well. 3 day non firing, non disassembly inspection. Price includes shipping and insurance to your ffl. Ships in hard plastic case.
