A fine and original Spanish Gold 1/2 Escudo dated 1779 in very good condition. Mint mark is Madrid with the bust of King Charles III on the front. A beautiful pre-American Revolution gold 1/2 Escudo which was the equivalent of the U.S. 1 dollar gold coin. Commonly used as currency here in the U.S. during that period. USPS priority mail is 7.00
