Description:
A beautiful antique Elephant carving with an Ivory effigy statue atop its back. This fine carving is over 100 years old and is very heavy. It measures 12 1/2 inch to the top of the Ivory Effigy statue. The ivory has a great patina as well as the wood. There are some scratches and chips here and there but the statue is in sound condition. There were at one time 2 small tusks but it appears they have fallen out over time. I do not know which African tribe this carving would be associated with. A stunning antique for the game room shelf. USPS Priority mail is 25.00
