This is a big heavy steel bow. Beautiful patina to the stock and bow and all the mounts have beautiful workmanship. I can't find any hallmarks, looks like there could have been some on the trigger guard plate. The bow is missing the cock that was usually made of ivory, ebony or bone. It does have the ebony shaft bedding. The steel bow is in great shape and the mounts and trigger guard has some beautiful forged metal work. A fine 18th century target bow that would look great in a collection or hanging in the trophy room. USPS priority shipping crated is 100.00 Price: $3,500.00 |
