Description:
A beautiful nautical painting (oil on artist board) of an American sailing ship with sloops in the background. Signed by the artist in the lower left corner. Maud Sedalia Proctor was born Oct. 19, 1889 and died Feb. 11, 1959. The 1920 census from Washington DC shows her being 30 years old and occupation of Office Stenographer. I found only 1 other painting, a still life of roses that she painted. This beautiful ship's painting remains in excellent condition in its original gilt frame. The actual painting, not including the frame measures 14 inches wide by 16 1/2 inches tall. USPS Priority mail 30.00
