Listed in Philip Klanchers Book, Arms & Accoutrement of the Mounted police 1873-1973, on page 189. Shipped to the Commissioner of the RNWMP October 16, 1919 with a shipment of 200 Colt New Service revolvers. This revolver is well marked with MP on either side of the lanyard swivel. The back strap is marked ""RNWMP 1892"", most likely his issue number. The crane number is Colt's serial number 143490. Revolver has approximately 90% original finish and has the Colt hard rubber grips. Bore is excellent. Action works perfectly. Barrel is 5.5"". Ensemble includes: Original holster, marked MWMP in two places. Knee high boots, Stetson hat marked ""RCMP"" on sweat band. Snow shoes, Tunic with royal Canadian Mounted Police insignia on collar and RCMP epaulet badge. Trousers. Framed print of a NWMP officer with fur trappers examining their goods (Artist Arnold Fribert). The entire ensemble, revolver and holster, is very impressive and complete with this outfit and every item coming from the same person.
