Description:
SOLD.......This Beautiful Attractive pistol has ALL MATCHING NUMBERS and is one of 100 with an "A" serial number prefix and is documented and described in Charles Clawson's book COLT .45 GOVERNMENT MODELS on page 190 and 197. DGFM FMAP Sistema 1927, .45 ACP 5" barrel, showing A SCARCE ROLL MARK “C.F.S.”. The “C.F.S.” stands for the “Consejo Federal de Seguridad”, or translated to English, the Federal Council of Security. It was made on Colt machinery under Colt license and supervision under contract in Rosario, Argentina. Pistol in Original Military Police Configuration.
About the law organizing CFS: "Dentro de la orbita del Ministerio del Interior,por ley No.14.701 , se creo la hoy defunta organizacion,bajo la presidencia de peron en 1951.Sus miembros fueron el Director General del Registro Nacional de las Personas,Policia Federal.Gendarmeria,Perfectura Nacional Maritima,y un delegado por cada una de las policias de las provincias y territorios nacionales.Su mision era la de coordinar y armonizar el trabajo administrativo de lass fuerzas policiales envueltas.Durante su existencia,la perfectura nacional maritima ,fue re-nombrada a Policia Maritima.El Gobierno Revolucionario Militar de 1955,destrono al presidente peron,y disolvio el Consejo Federal de Seguridad por decreto No.2.444/56".
Condition: From my personal collection: This example is in excellent condition. NO active rust or pitting observed; very clean. it has MATCHING NUMBERS on FRAME, SLIDE AND BARREL (Unnumbered magazine). I have never seen one with a matching number magazine. It has Crisp beautiful Argentine crest and well define CFS and DGFM FMAP markings. The frame has a dark gray to black phosphate mate finished and the slide has a black oxide bluing finish probably done at the time that was acquired and the "CFS" mark was applied by Juan Peron's secret police. It displays the internal rack number "18". Finish has very few tiny scattered imperfections with very minimal loss if any, very few tiny light scratches, handling marks. Original sights. Bore has good rifling, it is somewhat bright with some opaque frosting and that might clean up. Tight action; appearing mechanically fine. Correct Argentine magazine with little edge wear. it is unnumbered. Magazine fits well, drops freely and it looks in good working order. Grips are correct and appear to be original black checkered. Grips have NO cracks, NO chips, just very tiny light handling marks, scratches or bruises. Very small discrete import marked on the left side of the frame by the mag release button. An extremely attractive looking Colt Sistema 1927 with ALL MATCHING NUMBERS and a sharp Argentine crest, ONE of the 100 made, RARE marked C.F.S. to the Secret Police. This one will make a very fine addition to your collection!
