This rifle was literally a labor of love by one of America's finest custom stock makers. Starting with a 1909 German Mauser controlled-feed action, Joe Balickie crafted a thing of beauty for his wife, Carolyn. This was her personal rifle; the one she used to successfully hunt sheep and goats in the Rocky Mountains.    This rifle can truly lay claim to being One of Damn Few, a beautiful, flat-shooting collector's or hunter's rifle with a record of success afield...the stuff legends and heirlooms are made of...and a fine example of a classic stalking rifle in the caliber made famous by gun writer and sheep hunter, Jack O'Connor.
