This is a stunning example of a contemporary made Acoma Pueblo pottery jar. Signed on the base "R. Shepard 12-84" The jar measures about 6 inches tall...5 1/2 inches wide and 3 1/2 inches at the mouth. Made of red clay and painted and appears to have been fired. This jar has no damage and the design is simply beautiful. I have been unsuccessful in finding anything on the artist.
