Description:
Colt Model 1911 Rare U.S. Navy stamped semi-Automatic Pistol with U.S.M.C. Marked Holster combination. Early serial number pistol 43619  issued in 1913 according to Colt Manufacturing. 

This is a very early and very desirable Colt 1911, produced in 1913 and issued to the US Navy.  These U.S. Navy contract pistols with the early U.S. Navy marked slides and early style small serifed lettering and serial numbers are one of the most prized of the standard issue Model 1911's. 

Of the around 2.7 million Colt model 1911's issued a total of only 15,037 Colt 1911 pistols were marked with the “Navy” designation on the right side of the slide.

  • Pistol has some remaining blue with much having picked up a gray patina.. 
  • Fully functional and shoots fine. 
  • Barrel is immaculate and apparently a replacement for original.  Remainder of pistol appears to be original with original finish.
  • Grips are apparently original and in good shape with obvious wear.
  • Comes with one non original magazine. 
  • On left frame behind trigger is the government inspectors mark WGP for Walter G. Penfield,
Rampant colt:  On slide 1913 model; 1911 Service pistol the circled rampant Colt was placed on the slide behind the serrations. This one is so marked.

Original shoulder holster stamped USMC BOYT 45  with the name of inspector J. D. CARR in back. Holster is in very good shape with all stitching and metalwork in place and functional.
