Description:
This 7.6mm .32cal double action pistol is an extremely rare example of the HSC. It carries a Mauser "WR" proof [pre-Nazi/ post-Nazi] and what appears to be a one-of-a-kind machined lanyard fixture [not a loop]. I cannot find any image of this feature on the Internet. The barrel is perfect and the blue [police] finish appears original. The military version had a phosphate finish. It comes with holster and extra mag. Final German World War II production of HSC Mauser pistols ended with the capture of the Oberndorf area by American troops in late April 1945. After the area was given to the French, German Mauser production resumed for French police use and French military use and was concluded in 1946. For approx. 13 months these WR Mauser HSc, were assembled under the French control. The first 4,704 were made with left over German parts. Another 14,596 were made with higher grade/quality mfg. parts. The serial number of this pistol falls within the higher grade production. This pistol is among the less encountered variations of the HSc. Instead of the German mark, these pistols were marked with a "WR" proof; a pre-Nazi proof used by Mauser. According to Prof. Dr. Rolf Gminder, a former managing director at Mauser, the stamping represents “Werksrevision”, a Factory Proof or [Final Audit]. A blue finish HSC was used by French police during IndoChina occupation 1946-1954. PAYMENT OPTIONS: I accept USPS Money Orders and personal/business checks. I will also accept certain Paypal.
