Description:
A very colorful gun made in England with English walnut stock and the lock-plate has corrosion and can;t see any markings, with a hand forged hammer that was created as a replacement .The stock appears solid and full length with the butt end having small holes from powder post beetles from long term storage. The 39" long round barrel has the rear sight with Nepali sandscript markngs, and the barrel has worn proofs, with a bore that has rifling, patches of shallow pits or corrosion from black powder use, but is dark, not sure if this would be a shooter and a muzzle measurement of about .590". Comes with an original ramrod , this wall hanger has much wear in it's service life, with wood dents and scrapes.Action works well, and the nipple is there and only one cock on the hammer. The brass trigger guard has Nepali script. Moist likely issued to the Gurkha forces sworn ro Brirish duty, in fact the Queens guards in England are Gurkha!
