Description:
24" Side-by-side chopper-lump barrels with reinforced muzzle, ramp mounted bead front sight and large folding moon sight, matted quarter rib with one standing and one folding silver-lined express sight engraved for 100 and 200 yards, lugged sling swivel and Holland quick detachable scope bases. 14"pull from front articulated trigger to solid red Silvers-type recoil pad. 1/4" Cast-off.

Figured walnut stock with checkered pistol grip, checkered Anson-release splinter forend, engraved trapdoor grip cap containing spare front sight bead, solid red Silvers recoil pad, stud with 7/8" swivel, gold oval engraved L.P.H., and teardrops.

Bolstered action with hand-detachable sidelocks, gold-line cocking indicators, concealed third fastener, bushed firing pins with retaining setscrews, top tang extended over comb, beaded-edge trigger guard with bottom tang extended to grip cap and serial number inlaid in gold, checkered articulated front trigger. Casehardened action engraved with glaring Cape Buffalo on left, bull elephant on right and growling male lion on underside surrounded by bold, acanthus leaf scroll and with chiseled relief acanthus fences, and signed by Ken E. Preater. 

Zeiss Diavari-ZA 1.5-6x42 T* scope with #4 duplex reticle on Holland & Holland quick-detachable mount, numbered to the gun.  Weight: 10lbs with iron sights; 11lbs, 9oz with scope and mount. 

In maker's oak and leather case with green baize interior, period trade label, nickel-plated accessories, cleaning rod, and 3 turnscrews marked HOLLAND & HOLLAND. London proofed in 1978. Extremely fine condition and appears unfired. Barrels retain virtually all of their original blue. Receiver retains virtually all of its original strong dark case colors. Stock and forend are sound with crisp checkering, a couple tiny handling marks, and retain its fine hand-rubbed oil finish. Scope is clear and bright. Mechanics are crisp with automatic safety, tight action, strong ejectors and bright shiny bores. From the Robert Peterson collection; with his inventory tag.
